Cynthia Villyard (she/her) is a member of the SCBWI and has studied eastern and western martial arts. As a two-time national bronze medalist in women’s saber and silver medalist in women’s team saber who has trained a stunt double for the Netflix series The Originals, her writing often features the exploits of swordswomen. Her poetry has appeared in print in the alternative newspaper The Weekly Alibi in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her adult coloring books are available on Etsy ( links on the first page). Her YA science fantasy novel work-in-progress, The Bird with the Broken Wing, is coming soon.
